We all experience transitions in life, e.g., new job, marriage, having a baby, moving house or to a new country, joining the military, returning to office culture after a pandemic. Many researchers (and culture chat members!) agree there are ups and downs one encounters during a transition but the frequency, duration, and level of adjustment is unique to the individual and their specific circumstances. How do our previous experiences and expectations impact our adjustment? What have your transition curves looked like? What has helped or hindered your adjustment?
